At the intersection of community, sport, and green space, Grow to Know is changing the way people connect. This grassroots initiative brings youth and neighbours together through hands-on gardening and pickup games — blending joy with purpose in a local park setting.
The vibe is informal but impactful. People arrive with footballs and seedlings, share stories, and build friendships that stretch beyond the garden beds. “It’s about growing more than just plants,” says program lead Marcus W. “We’re growing trust, confidence, and a sense of belonging.”
From weekly meetups to seasonal harvest events, Grow to Know is redefining what community engagement can look like — playful, inclusive, and rooted in care.
