Individual Artist Grants

Direct support for independent artists working across disciplines.

Current Opportunities:

  • Emerging Artist Development Grant
    For early-career artists developing new work or expanding their practice. Includes a $2,500 project stipend and mentorship from an established artist in your field.
    Next deadline: October 15, 2025

  • Mid-Career Project Grant
    Funding up to $7,500 for artists with 5+ years of experience working on a significant project (exhibition, performance, publication, etc.).
    Open now - Apply by November 1, 2025

  • Indigenous Artist Residency Support
    A grant to support Indigenous artists participating in local, national, or international residencies. Covers travel, materials, and honoraria up to $5,000.

Educational Workshops

Learn, connect, and grow your creative practice.

We host year-round workshops and talks for artists, cultural workers, and arts supporters—online and in-person—covering skills both creative and practical.

Upcoming Workshops:

  • Writing Winning Grant Proposals
    Learn how to craft strong project descriptions, budgets, and artist statements that stand out.
    Date: September 12, 2025 (online)

  • Building Your Creative Business
    A 2-part intensive for artists interested in pricing work, managing finances, and navigating the creative economy.
    Dates: October 3 & 10 (Regina)
    Includes workbook and 1-on-1 consultation

  • Intro to Public Art Commissions
    Understand how to apply for and execute public art projects, including timelines, contracts, and installation logistics.
    Date: October 17, 2025 (Saskatoon)
    Limited to 20 participants

Community Art Projects

Creating together, in public spaces and shared places.

We support collaborative projects that bring art into parks, plazas, alleyways, schools, and unexpected spaces—strengthening community identity and access to the arts.

Upcoming Projects:

  • The Laneway Murals Project - Fall 2025
    Six artists will transform downtown alleyways into vibrant outdoor galleries, engaging with local stories and residents along the way.
    Call for artists launching September 1.

  • Gathering Grounds: Community Mosaic Series
    A public art series created with schools and cultural groups to produce large-scale ceramic murals for public buildings.
    In progress - Locations: Moose Jaw, North Battleford, La Ronge

  • Window Works: Temporary Installations in Storefronts
    Designed to activate vacant or underused downtown storefronts with site-specific work by local artists.
    Exhibition season: November 2025 - February 2026
